Sharing a holiday gift guide filled with ideas for your health and fitness-loving friends… or yourself.
Hi friends! How are you? I hope you’re having a wonderful week so far! I taught at a fun event on campus yesterday and we had an amazing holiday dinner with friends.
For today’s post, I’m popping in to share some holiday gift ideas focused on health and wellness. I’m a huge believer that all you need to improve your health is a safe place to walk, some sneakers that fit well, a good water bottle, a plan, and the dedication to stick to the promises you make to yourself. All of these gadgets and extras are an expense, and definitely classified as “nice to have” instead of “need.” At the same time, they can be super fun, provide extra insight into what’s working in your routine, and the PERFECT thing to gift someone you love (including yourself!!)
Here’s a roundup of some of my favorite health and wellness gift ideas at various price points:
2023 Fitness and Health Gift Guide
Walking pad. I use my walking pad every.single.day and it’s such a great way to get in extra movement and steps, especially during long conference calls (when I don’t have to talk), emails, and watching modules.
HigherDOSE sauna blanket or PEMF Go Mat. These are two of my all-time favorite biohacking products. (You can use the code FITNESSISTA15 for 15% off)
An Aviron rower! This one is definitely a home gym investment, but I LOVE this thing. It’s so fun to row and be able to stream shows from Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, and Disney+. I can’t wait to watch the new Bridgerton season in the sauna blanket and on the rower. My review of the Aviron rower is here.
Water purifier- We use Berkey and Clearly Filtered. We’re getting a Radiant Life whole house system this year!
Oura Ring. The Oura ring provides excellent data on sleep and recovery. You can check out my full review here.
Air purifier! Clean air and clean water and some of the first initial steps for 1:1 clients.
Water bottle. My top ones right now are Stanley (of course) and Hydroflask. The girls have water bottles from lululemon and they love them.
Theragun. These are fantastic for sore muscles!
Neck stretcher. This feels amazing on a tight neck, especially after a long day at the computer. I just lie on the stretcher and breathe for a few minutes.
Peloton bike or treadmill. Check out my full review of the Peloton bike here.
lululemon hoodie. You can’t go wrong with a scuba hoodie!
Vivobarefoot shoes. Once I switched over to barefoot shoes last year, all of my *regular* shoes feel so restrictive. I have a pair of athletic barefoot shoes, hiking boots, and casual white low tops. P has switched over to the vivobarefoot train and they’re her favorite sneakers. My referral link gets you 15% off.
A Sakara or Daily Harvest delivery. What a way to make healthy eating SO much easier. I love the Sakara meals – I have one coming next week!- and you can use XOGINAH for 20% off. You can use FITNESSISTA for up to $40 at Daily Harvest. I have their smoothies almost day, and also love their soups, bowls, flatbreads, and the new pasta!
Class pack to a fitness studio. Pick out a favorite studio (or a new one that’s opening) and send some classes their way.
Manduka mat or mat towel. This is perfect for the yogi who has been practicing on the same mat forever, or needs a new towel to swap into the rotation.
A Breville juicer. I always say I’m going to juice more often and then I continue to buy them lol. It’s SO much more cost effective to make juices at home, and you can customize them according to your preferences.
Vuori daily leggings and a half-zip. Vuori is one of my favorite athletic brands right now; the quality is incredible, and I prefer the colors and styles over lululemon’s current selections.
A Hatch light. This was one of my Christmas gifts last year and I love it so much. It felt very jarring to wake up to my alarm each day, and since I’ve been mindful about my morning cortisol levels, this has helped a ton. It’s more peaceful to wake up to gentle light and birds chirping than a blaring alarm.
A weighted blanket. I’m the person who travels with my weighted blanket lol. It makes a huge difference in my sleep quality.
Tell me, friends: what’s your favorite wellness tool, gadget, or on your personal wish list this year?
xoxo
